It could be well worth your time to brush up on Spanish lessons. According to the Pew Research Center, there are more than
54 million Hispanics currently residing in the United States. Considering more than 35 million Hispanics speak Spanish at home, it pays to be able to speak Spanish and reach this influential demographic. The Pew Research Center's 2013 National Survey of Latinos discovered that roughly 38 percent of Hispanics say Spanish is their dominant language, compared with 25 percent who are English-dominant and 36 percent who are bilingual.
